Women's Rugby League

Our Footprint

Newcastle and the Hunter region have long been a nursery for female rugby league talent. From grassroots all the way through to the elite level, Women’s Rugby League continues to strengthen and grow in our area. In 2022, the Club made history by fielding its first-ever NRL Telstra Women's Premiership side in the rescheduled 2021 season. Only one season later, the team became champions claiming the 2022 NRLW premiership with a 32-12 Grand Final win over the Parramatta Eels. The NRLW team would claim back-to-back titles in 2023 defeating the Gold Coast Titans in the Grand Final. The Club also field pathways teams in the Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership, Westpac Tarsha Gale Cup (Women's Under 19's) and Westpac Lisa Fiaola Cup (Women's Under 17's).
