Pathways Wrap-up: Big wins throughout the grades

In this week's Pathways Wrap-up, the nib Newcastle Knights Junior Representative squads were back in action in Round 3.

Meanwhile, the Newcastle-Maitland Region Knights squads in the Laurie Daley Cup and Andrew Johns Cup competitions travelled out to Tamworth for Round 2.

SG Ball Cup | Knights 26-14 Panthers

The SG Ball Cup side scored a strong 12-point away win over the Penrith Panthers on Saturday.

The squad outscored the Panthers six tries to three with Aidan Gow continuing his try-scoring feats with another hat-trick.

Haami Loza, Sosaia Latu and Toby Winter also got their name on the scoresheet in a confidence-boosting performance for the Under 19 Knights.

Tarsha Gale Cup | Knights 34-8 Raiders

The Tarsha Gale Cup side outclassed the Canberra Raiders down in Canberra on Saturday with a 26-point victory.

Halfback Maronay Smuts scored the opening try and set up a few more with Jayda Maniapoto and Taylah-Jane Belcher notching doubles.

The Under 19's women's side move up to fourth spot on the ladder after the opening three rounds.

Harold Matthews Cup | Knights 14-22 Panthers

The Harold Matthews Cup side were downed by the Panthers at Windsor Sports Complex on Saturday.

The Knights led 8-0 at the break before the home side staged a second half comeback, scoring a late winner with four minutes to play.

Callum Elsley, Chip Valentin and Ashton Allen were the try-scorers for Newcastle.

Lisa Fiaola Cup | Knights 22-14 Raiders

The Lisa Fiaola Cup side returned to the winners' circle with a comeback win over the Raiders down in Canberra.

Behind 14-0 after 21 minutes on the clock, the Under 17's side turned the tables to overcome the Green Machine.

Sienna Brumby, Scarlet Hagan, Breanna Rawlins and Rubie Drake-Brockman crossed the stripe for the red and blue.

Laurie Daley Cup | NMR Knights 42-16 Northern Tigers

The Newcastle-Maitland Region Knights Laurie Daley Cup squad scored a convincing victory over the Northern Tigers in Tamworth on Saturday.

The side rain in eight tries to the Tigers three to achieve their first win of the season.

Following on from Round 2, the squad will head to Lismore next for a clash against the Northern Rivers Titans.

Andrew Johns Cup | NMR Knights 40-10 Northern Tigers

The Newcastle-Maitland Region Knights Andrew Johns Cup squad also scored a comprehensive victory over the Northern Tigers in Tamworth on Saturday.

After their Round 1 victory, the side posted back-to-back wins with their eight tries to two performance.

The side will also travel to Lismore next Saturday to take on the Northern Rivers Titans.
