Meanwhile, the Newcastle-Maitland Region Knights squads in the Laurie Daley Cup and Andrew Johns Cup competitions travelled out to Tamworth for Round 2.

SG Ball Cup | Knights 26-14 Panthers
The SG Ball Cup side scored a strong 12-point away win over the Penrith Panthers on Saturday.
The squad outscored the Panthers six tries to three with Aidan Gow continuing his try-scoring feats with another hat-trick.
Haami Loza, Sosaia Latu and Toby Winter also got their name on the scoresheet in a confidence-boosting performance for the Under 19 Knights.
