The nib Newcastle Knights are pleased to announce versatile forward Brodie Jones will remain with the Club for the 2025 National Rugby League season after putting pen to paper on a one year extension.
Jones, 26, is another Knights pathways success story, having been a one-Club player since joining the Newcastle Knights Harold Matthews squad in 2014.
The Cessnock Goannas junior made his way through every Knights junior age team, along with junior representative and Australian Schoolboys teams, on his path to becoming a full-time contracted NRL player in 2020.
In Round 3, 2020, Jones made his NRL debut against the Penrith Panthers, before being named Knights Rookie of the Year in 2021. He has since racked up 72 NRL appearances.
nib Newcastle Knights Director of Football Peter Parr said Jones' re-signing is a reward for consistency.
“Brodie has become a consistent NRL player over the past few years,” Parr said.
“He has a tremendous work ethic and in recent times has shown a genuine ability to come up with big plays at crucial moments.
“We look forward to him improving even further and the Club is grateful he has chosen to continue his career with the Knights.”
