Upton named NRLW Player of the Year for second successive season

nib Newcastle Knights NRLW fullback Tamika Upton has claimed the NRLW Player of the Year following another stellar campaign in 2024.

The Jillaroo and Queensland Origin representative played in all 10 games of the 2024 campaign having scored seven tries, provided 13 try-assists and averaged 125 run metres.

A continual threat in attack, Tamika helped steer the Club to a third-straight finals finish, falling one game short of the Grand Final.

The Knights NRLW Awards night saw players, staff and sponsors come together to celebrate the season.

Laishon Albert-Jones picked up the Players' Player Award from her teammates while Olivia Higgins claimed the Gladiator of the Year Award, presented by the Once A Knight Old Boys.

NRLW Second Rower of the Year, Yasmin Clydsdale, was recognised for a superb season taking home the Knight in Shining Armour Award.

Following an outstanding debut campaign, Tenika Willison was awarded the Club's Rookie of the Year Award while Kayla Romaniuk collected the NRLW Community Player of the Year for her impressive work in her community initiatives in 2024.

The NSW Women's Premiership side also came together to celebrate their season after making it to the Grand Final in 2024.

Joeli Morris took home the Player of the Year Award while Evah McEwen and Mel Howard claimed the Players' Player Award.
