nib Newcastle Knights Head of Recruitment Peter O’Sullivan said the talented back will bring skill and versatility to the Knights.
“Taj brings a real point of difference to our squad," O’Sullivan said.
“He has the ability to play anywhere in the backline and could possibly transition to the backrow, complimented by a huge kicking game, he adds skill, speed and versatility to our roster.
“Standing at 193cms, Taj is a real kick target in attack and will be a strong addition to our backline.
“Taj will need time to adjust, but his rugby league background will help this transition into the NRL and we are pleased to bring him home to play for the Knights.”
O’Sullivan is also thrilled with the signing of boom edge back rower Francis Manuleleua.
“Francis is another wonderful addition to our club, and we are delighted he chose the Knights," O’Sullivan said.
“He also stands at 193cms, weighs in at 105kgs and is a real athlete with the ability to break the line and a skillset to play in the halves or his more familiar position of ball playing and running edge back rower.
“I’ve watched him play since he was Fourteen, he is one of the more talented players I have come across, if he works hard, he will be a success at the Knights.”
