Ultimate Guide: NRLW Round 5 preview

The nib Newcastle Knights NRLW side will aim to return to winning ways this Saturday when they face an in-form Parramatta Eels side.

Coming off two-straight defeats, the reigning premiers will look to move back into the top four with a victory.

They face a strong Parramatta who have shot out of the blocks with three wins from the opening rounds.

TUESDAY: Knights NRLW Head Coach Ben Jeffries has named his 22-woman squad for their Round 5 clash against the Parramatta Eels

In team news, young half Evie Jones is set to make her NRLW debut replacing Jesse Southwell (concussion) at halfback.

A Muswellbrook Rams local junior and Australian Schoolgirls representative, Jones has emerged through the pathways system to become NRLW Knight No.56.

For the Eels, Steve Georgallis has named an unchanged starting line-up for this week's match against the Knights.

The only change to the overall team that beat Wests Tigers last week sees prop Tyla Amiatu returning from illness via the bench, pushing Breanna Eales, who is in jersey 19, to replacement player duties. 

FORM GUIDE

The Knights were defeated by the Cronulla Sharks 14-12 last start suffering their second loss in succession.

After the opening four games, the Knights sit in fifth spot with a 2-2 record.

Meanwhile, the Eels sit in third spot with a 3-1 record to start the campaign.
