For the second consecutive year, nib Newcastle Knights player, Kayla Romaniuk has been nominated for the Veronica White Medal for her ongoing commitment to community.
The Veronica White Medal is an NRL led initiative that recognises an NRLW player who has continually contributed to the community.
Kayla has been a driving force behind our club's community programs and social impact initiatives. Her commitment is evident in her active participation in several key projects, each highlighting her dedication to making a positive difference.
The NRL forward has supported Community Partners such as Sleapy’s Foundation and OzHarvest with her participation in promotional content highlighting her commitment to raising funds and awareness for vulnerable individuals and community groups.
Her leadership in the Newcastle Knights’ School Blitz program, reaching approximately 5000 students across 18 schools, underscores her commitment to fostering positive values and empowering youth.
In her work with Ronald McDonald House in Newcastle, Kayla has provided invaluable support by visiting families and spending time with children facing serious health challenges. Her visits and efforts to bring other players along demonstrate her compassion and commitment to supporting families during difficult times.
