The nib Newcastle Knights are proud to officially unveil their 2024 Anzac Round Jersey, recognising the contribution made to our region by the service men and women of RAAF Base Williamtown and the Army School of Infantry, Singleton.
The design was a collaborative process with the Hunter Defence Support Network (HSDN) which encouraged submissions from serving members of the Australian Defence Force and their families.
The design incorporates the F-35A Lightning II aircraft on the front, flying over Newcastle’s iconic Nobby’s Headland.
On the rear of the jersey, Australian Army infantry soldiers are displayed on operations at the Lone Pine Barracks, Singleton.
Pictured on the lower rear of the jersey are the insignia of the Royal Australian Airforce, representing RAAF Base Williamtown, as well as the Army School Of Infantry.
The left breast of the jersey features a sprig of rosemary, which grows wild at Gallipoli in Turkey and is customarily worn during Anzac Day services as a mark of respect for those who have served and died for their country.
In highlighting the collaboration, the jersey sleeves display the HDSN logo lock up.
