The nib Newcastle Knights have defeated the Melbourne Storm 14-12 at McDonald Jones Stadium on Sunday night.
A sole penalty goal was the difference in the end after a bruising encounter in front of a 21,000 strong Newcastle fan-base.
The result is the first win of the season for the Knights ahead of a trip to New Zealand next week.
HOW IT PLAYED OUT:
1st min - The match kicked off in front of 21,889 Members and supporters for Multicultural Round in Newcastle.
The side ran out with their flags honoring their own cultural heritage.
23rd min - Following a cagey opening to the match with limited attacking opportunities, the Knights would draw first blood.
Dane Gagai willed himself over the line, receiving the ball 10 metres out before barging over a couple of Storm defenders.

28th min - The Knights would have their second try only five minutes later with Enari Tuala running in untouched to the try-line.
Smart work and a bullet pass from Kalyn Ponga found the winger in open space and Tuala did the rest.

37th min - Just before half-time, Ponga added a penalty goal to put the Knights ahead by 14.
40th min - The red and blue would take a 14-0 lead into the change of ends.
48th min - Melbourne hit back after the break with fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen pouncing on the second ball following a kick.
75th min - The Storm would strike late to set up a grandstand finish with Tyran Wishart running through.
80th min - Newcastle would hold onto their two-point lead to secure the victory at home.
