The nib Newcastle Knights have re-signed Jacob Saifiti until at least the end of the 2027 National Rugby League season, after the Knights junior agreed to terms on a new three-year contract.
Saifiti, 27, debuted for the Knights against the Gold Coast Titans in the opening round of the 2016 season, after making his International debut for Fiji the previous year.
The 2021 Danny Buderus medallist has made 142 NRL appearances and twice represented the NSW Blues in the origin arena.
In 2023 the powerhouse forward amassed his highest ever running metres for an NRL season, running for 2464 metres in 21 appearances in the red and blue jersey.
nib Newcastle Knights Director of Football Peter Parr said Saifiti extension is wonderful news for the club and the community.
“Jacob has shown over the past few seasons that he is one of the most consistent middle forwards in the NRL, Parr said.
“We have no doubt his best football remains in front of him, and we are delighted he has re-committed to the Knights.“
