The nib Newcastle Knights have re-signed Phoenix Crossland until at least the end of the 2026 National Rugby League season after the local junior product agreed to terms on a new three-year contract.
Crossland, 23, has notched up 60 NRL games after debuting for the Knights against the New Zealand Warriors in round 16, 2019, at just 18 years of age.
This season Crossland showed his versality and immense talent with an outstanding season, making 26 appearances for the Knights.
His breakout season was rewarded by being named the 2023 Gladiator of the Year by the Knights Once a Knight Old Boys and finishing in the top 10 tacklers in the NRL.
nib Newcastle Knights Director of Football Peter Parr said Crossland signing is great news.
“We are grateful Phoenix has decided to extend his career at the Knights , Parr said.
“Phoenix has shown he has all the attributes to be a major contributor to the club’s future success and we are excited about what he can achieve in the coming years.”
