Knights sign Cogger

The nib Newcastle Knights have signed playmaker Jack Cogger on a three-year contract, commencing next season until the end of the 2026 National Rugby League season.

Cogger played his junior football with the Toukley Hawks on the Central Coast, before signing with the Newcastle Knights to play in the National Youth Competition in 2014.

The livewire half progressed through the Knights pathways system, including selection in the Australian Schoolboys and Junior Representative teams.

After captaining the Knights NYC side in 2016, he quickly rose through the ranks to make his NRL debut in Round 10 against the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks.

Jack has the skill, tenacity and game management to make a great impact at the Knights.

With six seasons of NRL experience and two years playing for Huddersfield in the Super League, Cogger has established himself as an accomplished NRL player.

nib Newcastle Knights Director of Football Peter Parr said Cogger brings a wide range of experience to the Club.

“Jack has been involved in many different experiences throughout his career, including an overseas stint," Parr said.

“Those learnings, plus the skills he has developed along the way, has us believing his best football will occur in the coming years.

“Jack has the skill, tenacity and game management to make a great impact at the Knights.”
