Recovery Report: Southwell update

The nib Newcastle Knights NRL and NRLW squads have been assessed ahead of their upcoming rounds this weekend.

For the NRL squad, Krystian Mapapalangi has unfortunately suffered a shoulder fracture and is set to miss an extended period. The medical team will meet with appropriate parties to determine the next steps in Krystian’s return to play process.

For the NRLW squad, Hannah Southwell ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in Round 1 of last season. After an extensive 11 month rehab period, Southwell has reintegrated into full contact with the aim of selection in the coming rounds.

Yasmin Clydsdale suffered a grade one MCL knee injury in the second Women's State of Origin match. The forward has successfully completed all her rehab to be available to take on the Dragons this Saturday.
