Pathways players selected in State Schoolboys sides

nib Newcastle Knights pathways representatives Beau Slade, Jack Hilliar, Cody Hopwood, Logan Aoake and Will Rosenbaum have been selected for their respective State teams for the Australian Schoolboys Carnival to held in early July.

Hilliar (All Saints College Maitland), Hopwood (All Saints College Maitland) and Rosenbaum (Newman College Port Macquarie) played in the Club's Harold Matthews Cup side which finished the regular season in second spot and qualified for the Grand Final.

The trio will represent the NSWCCC side alongside SG Ball Cup representative player Logan Aoake (St Francis Xavier College Hamilton).

SG Ball teammate Beau Slade (Hunter Sports High School) will represent the NSWCHS team.

"It's obviously great to have those boys selected in their State sides, and it's a great reward for the years they've had," Head of Pathways Michael Dobson said.

" Jack, Cody and Will played in our Harold Matthews team, and are playing a year young so it's a great achievement for them while Logan and Beau played important roles as the SG Ball side qualified for the Grand Final.

"It will be a big experience for them to see how others play and prepare, and I hope they enjoy it.

"It's a huge achievement for our pathways and we wish them a great carnival."

The carnival kicks off in Redcliffe, Queensland from Saturday, July 1 and will go through until July 8.
