nib Newcastle Knights Head Coach Adam O'Brien has reduced his squad to 19 for our first home clash against the Dolphins at McDonald Jones Stadium tomorrow night.
Jack Johns is a late withdrawal to the side due to injury with East Maitland junior Tom Cant coming into the 17 for his NRL debut and becoming Knight #342.
Having progressed through the pathways system and captaining the Jersey Flegg Cup 2022 Grand Final team, Cant has impressed in the pre-season to earn his first shot in the top grade.
The 20-year-old joins fellow debutants Ryan Rivett (Knight #341) and Dylan Lucas (Knight #340) on the bench.
Also, Dane Gagai and Jackson Hastings will Co-Captain the side for Round 3 in Dane's 150th game for the Newcastle Knights.
