Recovery Report: Ponga, Frizell and Brailey update

In this week's Recovery Report, the nib Newcastle Knights squad has been assessed ahead of Round 3's match against the Dolphins.

Kurt Mann was unavailable for selection again after being a withdrawal from last week's team due to a muscle tear in his shoulder. Kurt is responding well to treatment and is expected to be back up for selection in the coming weeks.

Adam Clune, Jayden Brailey and Kalyn Ponga will all continue to go through return to play concussion protocols after failing HIA’s on Sunday.

Tyson Frizell has had scans on his injured ankle revealing no major injuries or broken bones. He has commenced rehabilitation protocols and return to play has not been confirmed at this stage.

Adam Elliott, Krystian Mapapalangi and Simi Sasagi remain within the rehab squad whilst continuing to work though their respective return to performance programs.
