In this week's Recovery Report, the nib Newcastle Knights squad have been assessed ahead of Round 1's match against the Warriors.
Dane Gagai has failed to overcome a minor hamstring strain ahead of this weekend’s opening round clash in Wellington. The centre is progressing well in his rehabilitation program ahead of Round 2.
Meanwhile, Simi Sasagi is going through graded contact and team skill progressions after undergoing surgery on a dislocated shoulder suffered in the pre-season.
Furthermore, winger Greg Marzhew has been managing a niggling hip pointer and the decision has been made he will not travel to New Zealand. He will be treated and trained in preparation for Round 2.
Also, Krystian Mapapalangi has succumb to an ongoing shoulder injury. The decision has been made for the young centre to undergo shoulder surgery.
The Knights expect to see Krystian playing before the end of the season.
