Ahead of the nib Newcastle Knights introduction to the NRL Telstra Women's Premiership, we sat down with the squad members who are creating history in the red and blue.
We caught up with dual international, Charlotte Scanlan, to get to know her a little better.
Having represented New Zealand in league and rugby union, Scanlan is ready to make a name for herself on the NRLW stage.

You’re journey in the game? Where have you played before?
Played rugby union growing up and then started playing league in 2012. I played for Akarana (Auckland region) and made my debut for the Kiwi Ferns at the Rugby League World Cup in 2013. Also played for the New Zealand Rugby 7's side.
How excited are you to be a part of the first ever NRLW side for the Newcastle Knights?
I'm extremely humbled to be a part of the first Knights NRLW team. Fired up to represent this mighty club.
What’s your hopes and expectations for the season ahead?
To play some tough footy and to have fun doing it!
What are you most looking forward to for the season?
First game! Pulling on that jersey and feeling the energy from the crowd when we step on that field. Electric!

You’re only as good as your last game.

Feilding in the Manawatu, New Zealand.

Travelling the world.
