The nib Newcastle Knights are delighted to confirm the appointment of Andrew Johns, in a newly created Coaching Consultant role.
Johns is an all-time Newcastle great and Knights Life Member with 249 games, two premierships and a long list of achievements to his name in a record-breaking playing career.
Newcastle Knights CEO, Mr Philip Gardner, said he couldn’t be happier to have Johns join the coaching staff.
“Having Andrew join the staff is a significant moment in the history of our Club,” Mr Gardner said.
“His Rugby League knowledge is unmatched anywhere in the world and he will be an excellent addition to the team.
“Joey’s return marks the beginning of an incredibly exciting period in our Club’s history and we can’t wait to see him get to work.”
The Eighth Immortal will begin work in his newly created role next month following the commencement of pre-season training.
The appointment marks one of many exciting changes to the Football Department, with more to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
