UPDATE: Sue has elected to take the early guilty plea and will be suspended for the opening two matches of the 2022 season.
nib Newcastle Knights forward, Sauaso Sue, has been cited by the NRL's Match Review Committee (MRC).
Sue has been slapped with a Grade Two Dangerous Contact charge after a leg twist on Blake Ferguson.
The charge carries a base penalty of 200 points, meaning should Sue accept the Early Guilty Plea, he will be suspended for two matches.
Should the Club fight the charge and lose at the panel, the suspension will increase to three matches.
With the Knights eliminated from the 2021 season, any suspension will have to be served in 2022.
