Talk about a game of wet weather rugby league!
It was all about the battle of the forward packs in the nib Newcastle Knights' 10-6 victory over the Warriors at McDonald Jones Stadium, so it's no surprise three forwards lead the charge in the battle for Man of the Match honours this week.
Don't forget to have your say below!
Daniel Saifiti
With another stint in the Origin arena fast approaching, Saifiti ensured he will head into Game II in arguably career-best form.
Saifiti was a clear stand out for the Novacastrians, charging for 200 run metres, 76 post contact metres and 29 tackles with zero misses in an incredible performance.
Wet weather football is about winning up the middle of the park, and Saifiti ensured the Knights did just that.
His absence was clearly felt when he left the field for a second half HIA, with 'D-Saf' making an instant impact on his return.
David Klemmer
Talk about impact off the bench.
Klemmer was near-unstoppable when he entered the contest in the first half, with his stats backing up an incredible display.
Klemmer ran for an astonishing 196 run metres in just 50 minutes, which also included 23 tackles with just one miss.
The power Klemmer provided upon his entry into the game ensured the Warriors were always on the back foot.
Jayden Brailey
Wow.
That's all any of the 9,975 fans who braved the driving rain could utter after Brailey pulled off one of the tackles of the season, running down a flying Reece Walsh who looked certain to score in the opening half.
Considering how tight the contest was, this was a match winning play on it's own.
But is it enough to secure him Man of the Match honours? Have your say below!
