UPDATE: Mitch Barnett has been found guilty at the judiciary.
Barnett will be fined $1800 as a result and is free to play on Saturday.
EARLIER: nib Newcastle Knights forward Mitch Barnett has been cited by the NRL's Match Review Committee (MRC).
Barnett copped a Grade 1 contrary conduct charge for an incident in the 42nd minute of our clash with South Sydney.
Barnett has entered a not-guilty plea and will face the judiciary panel this evening.
Should he be found guilty, Barnett will avoid suspension and instead cop a fine, while a not-guilty verdict will see him avoid any punishment.
