Man of the Match: Mann and Brailey give their all despite loss

It certainly wasn't the result we were after, but there's no doubting Adam O'Brien has plenty to be proud of in that performance.

In what was a mostly tight affair between the Knights and Panthers at BlueBet Stadium, plenty of our troops managed to stand out.

Here are a few candidates for Man of the Match. Don't forget to have your say and vote below!

Kurt Mann

In what was mostly a tough night for our boys, Mann was the spark which almost ignited a Knights ambush.

This week's special guest on the KNIGHTS//HQ podcast looked dangerous every time he touched the footy.

Mann ran for 106 metres, clocked a line break assist (which ultimately lead to a Starford To'a try) and busted more tackles (six) than any other Knights player.

Throw in an offload and 31 tackles, and you have one very impressive performance from our No.6.

Jayden Brailey

Would you look at that - Brailey makes another appearance in this weekly poll.

You just couldn't fault 'Brails' for effort tonight.

The crafty hooker constantly threatened to create go-forward off the back of his dummy-half runs, making 41 valuable metres jumping out of the ruck.

Let's not gloss over the fact that Brailey also made 64 tackles, with just the one miss.

Herculean stuff in the middle of the park.

Kalyn Ponga

Tough as ever at the back, Ponga's stats again managed to stand out in a beaten side.

Ponga ran for 178 metres, created two line breaks and broke four tackles.

His organisation of the defensive line should also be commended, with the Knights holding out against a weight of Penrith possession for much of the game.

An impressive performance, but was KP your Man of the Match? Don't forget to vote below!
