Daniel Saifiti will mark his 100th NRL appearance for the nib Newcastle Knights when he leads the team onto McDonald Jones Stadium for round one of the 2021 season next Friday night.
Saifiti and Knights hooker Jayden Brailey were confirmed as co-Captains for the clash with the Bulldogs at the Club's official Season Launch on Tuesday night.
The duo are both in the Senior Leadership Group named in January, which also includes Kalyn Ponga, Blake Green and Mitch Barnett.
All five players will be tasked with the title and responsibilities of the captaincy at different stages throughout the season.
These players have been chosen from the NRL squad following an extensive selection process, and will be tasked with leading the club both on and off the field throughout the year.
The announcement was made during an on-stage interview between Fox Sports host Yvonne Sampson and Head Coach Adam O'Brien at the Club's official Season Launch at NEX.
