Knights great Ash Gordon has spent part of his week giving back to rural rugby league areas.
Teaming up with the Newcastle Knights, Gordon, through strong connection with the club, volunteering his time and distributing merchandise to remote and disadvantaged communities.
Gordon helped out a training session in Broken Hill with Silver City Scorpions RLFC.
He also visited Wilcannia and Menindee where he distributed Knights shirts and merchandise.
"These communities love rugby league," Gordon said.
"The smile on these peoples faces made the trip worth it."
