There's been no shortage of bizarre and strange moments take place on the hallowed turf that is McDonald Jones Stadium.
Here's our top five strangest moments to happen during nib Newcastle Knights matches at our wonderful home ground.
Round 8 – 2009 – EnergyAustralia Stadium experiences a blackout
Half-time between the Knights and Broncos went for 40 minutes after a blackout at EnergyAustralia Stadium.
The Knights spoiled Darren Lockyer's 300th NRL game to win the game 28-12. Post-match, the irony certainly wasn’t lost on a stadium named after an energy company experiencing a blackout.
Round 6 – 2016 – Korbin Sims kicking a second ball into James Tedesco
2016 was a tough year for the Knights, and they needed a whole lot of luck to claim their sole win.
It was a moment of controversy when Korbin Sims kicked a second ball into a Tigers winger Jordan Rankin, who had eyes for a Trent Hodkinson bomb, causing an error. The Knights scored from the ensuing scrum to win 18-16.
Round 14 – 2005 – Spectator runs on the field because “Somebody has to make a tackle”
The horror start to 2005 got worse for the Knights in this Round 14 encounter.
Things hit rock bottom when a frustrated Newcastle fan ran onto the field with a beer late in the match against the Eels. When asked post-match, the man claimed "somebody had to make a tackle". The Eels won 50-0.
Round 23 – 2013 – Pouring water on the ball to force an error
In an inventive way to force an error from their opponents, the Knights poured water on the ball at kick offs in an attempt to force an error and gain an advantage.
While the tactics were questionable at best, the Knights faced no further action over the incident.
Round 18 – 2001 – Adam MacDougall tries to take Wendell Sailor’s head off – misses.
With Mad Dog and Dell having a long running rivalry, MacDougall leapt to tackle Sailor - but missed.
It was lucky for Sailor as well, with Mad Dog desperate to get one up over his long-time rival.
