Promising backrower Brodie Jones has extended his contract with the nib Newcastle Knights.
A Knights junior, Jones has progressed his way through the lower grades and into the fulltime system where he now enters his fourth NRL pre-season.
The one-year extension is a reward for the hard work and strong form Jones showed in the Canterbury Cup NSW competition.
“Brodie is a player who has been with us for quite some time,” Director of Football, Brian Canavan said.
“He has progressed through our system and shown great potential. We hope 2020 will be a pivotal year in his development as a player.”
Jones, 21, represented NSW in both Under 16s and 18s and was selected in the 2016 Australian Schoolboys squad.
A strong ball runner and defender, the Cessnock product is now contracted to the Club until at least the end of the 2020 season.
