Kalyn Ponga has dominated for the Junior Kangaroos in their rampaging 62-4 win over France at WIN Stadium in Wollongong.
Playing in the relatively unfamiliar position of five-eighth, Ponga was dominant for the under 23’s side, setting up four tries in the opening 50 minutes alone.
Relaxing into the pivot role, Ponga was instrumental in setting up tries to David Fifita and Brian Kelly on the side’s way to a 42-0 half time lead.

The man known as ‘KP’ also had two line-break assists before the half time siren sounded. Team-mates Victor Radley, Ryan Papenhuyzen and Zac Lomax all had doubles before the break.
It was more of the same after the change of ends, with Ponga laying on a try to Campbell Graham and breaking the line himself with his trade-mark footwork.
Graham would go on to chalk up a second half hat-trick.

The French did manage to get on the scoreboard through a try to Mathieu Jussaume in the 63rd minute, however there was no doubting the green and gold dominance in claiming the 58 point win.
