2019 was a solid year for Herman Ese’Ese.
The prop forward established himself as a regular on the nib Newcastle Knights team sheet, often providing impact in his role as a bench player.
Ese’Ese played 18 times in the top-flight and averaged over 80 metres per game. He also managed to notch 38 tackle breaks, two tries and provided plenty of second phase play through his seven offloads.
Where he was best was his defence, where his tackle percentage sits at well over 90%.
When he wasn’t playing in the NRL, Ese’Ese was toiling away in the Canterbury Cup side.
Ese’Ese made 5 appearances in the competition, where he managed to average well over 120 metres a game, with 40 of those coming post contact.
He also broke 21 tackles and made 133 himself, succeeding in 92% of the tackles he committed to.
