Kurt Mann looks set to take the field this weekend despite picking up a knee complaint against Manly on Saturday.
The utility left the field with six minutes remaining but nib Newcastle Knights Head of Physical Performance, Balin Cupples said, he’ll only miss one full training session with the NRL squad.
“Kurt went down awkwardly on his left knee,” Cupples said.
“He’s come through relatively strongly. There’s no structural damage. He’ll build into training in terms of rehab run and it’s expected hell return to full training Wednesday and build into the Parra game.”
Meanwhile, Edrick Lee is set to have another x-ray on his arm next week.

Lee has been sidelined with a broken arm which has seen him put plenty of kilometres through the legs while one the sidelines.
“Edrick with his broken arm, it’s an injury that you can’t sort of progress too quickly because of the nature of the injury,” Cupples said.
“Where it occurred with his radius there, so Eddie has been working really hard, he’s just come through a mini pre-season phase which Eddie’s really enjoyed.

“He’s got a follow up scan, re-x-ray next week, then from that we’ll assess when that return to play period is for him, if he continues to work hard, we should see him back before the end of the year.”
Fellow winger Starford To’a has missed several weeks with a syndesmosis injury but is also on the mend.
“He’s had a bit of a stop start season, in saying that he’s probably learnt a lot about himself professionally and physically he’s made some really big changes too,” Cupples said.

“His injury is probably five weeks. It’s been five weeks now, so if he comes through the next couple of weeks of integration back into team training and with the ball, with contact and then we should see Star return to play the next couple of weeks.”
Finally, Josh King has been given the green light to make his return to the field after sitting a week out with a head-knock.
