The Newcastle Knights Jersey Flegg side have defeated South Sydney 28-16 at Redfern Oval.

With the home side missing an opportunity, the Knights struck first with Jack Cameron crashing under the posts.
They continued the momentum with a left-hand shift resulting in Toby Marks adding his name to the try scorers list.
The home side responded through Lachlan Ilias but their joy was short lived.
Capitalising on the Rabbitohs’ errors, the visitors crossed again through Marks who extended the lead 14-6 after 24 minutes.
Minutes before the break, Ben Talty crossed to give the Knights a handy lead.
A break in play for the Rabbitohs led to a try when Nicholas Mougios hurdled his way over the line.
With 53 percent of possession, the Knights responded just minutes later when Talty secured his double.
Knights No.7 Cameron Davies nailed a penalty goal to kick four from six for the day.
Rabbitohs five-eighth Bradley Zampech sliced over with 10 minutes remaining but it was too little, too late for the home side.
