Beau Fermor has continued his early season form with another impressive performance over the weekend.
Fermor was a shining light in Newcastle’s 36-12 Canterbury Cup NSW loss to Mounties on Saturday.
The backrower enjoyed his first NRL pre-season this year and has carried that experience into 2019.
Fermor opened the scoring when he broke through a hole on the back of a determined run.
Sadly, after Fermor’s try, it was all downhill from there with Mounties posting six unanswered tries.
Former Knights hooker Tom Starling got on the board, while Luke Bateman also crossed for a four-pointer.
Mounties winger Bailey Simonsson crosses for a hat-trick in what was a disappointing day for the Knights.
Phoenix Crossland took an intercept in the 69th minute to race the length of a field for a try but Mountains crossed for another two before the 80 minutes was up.
