Canberra. Always a tough trip.
Last encounter it was the Newcastle Knights by two… but they had to grind it out until the very end.
So far this season both teams have a win and both teams have a loss.
Roadtrip anyone?
No doubt a round 3 victory will be highly sort after.... the Raiders with the home ground advantage.
On the wing Shaun Kenny-Dowall will need to utilise his experience against some elite backs.
Knights v Raiders Round 3 NRL team
BJ Leilua and Jordan Rapana a big threat coming from the Raiders.
“They can come up with a big play at any moment and really turn a game on its head,” Kenny-Dowall commented.
'I just wish it was enough to get us over the line'
“We’re going to have to be on all across the park and really combat their strengths.”
A determined Rapana has returned from a shoulder injury.
He’ll be a definite blip on the Knights radar this Friday.
“It’s a credit to him to get back so fast,” said Kenny-Dowall.
'It's unusual to score a hat-trick, but a front rower is unheard of'
"At training you see little glimpses of what we can do"
“He’s always a dangerous player every time he has his hands on the ball and will probably bring confidence to the Raiders having him in the side.
“We know what he brings and what kind of game he’ll play and it’s up to us to try and combat that.”
