Injury Report: Prop suffers dual-injury setback
Head of Physical Performance, Balin Cupples, revealed the prop suffered two injuries against the Sharks but fortunately they're not too serious.
“D Saf caught some nasty friendly fire and got taken out lower body,” Cupples said.
“He’s copped a minor grade MCL strain and a minor mid-foot strain as well.
“We’re looking at that 2-4-week mark.
“We’re hoping it’ll be at that lower end, 2-3-week return.
“It’s a small little hurdle for him but we will get him back bigger and stronger.”
Meanwhile, Mason Lino is likely to return from a PCL injury this weekend.
The halfback suffered the injury in a trial match but his recovery is ahead of schedule.
“He’s back with the team," Cupples said.
“If he gets through the week with full training, he’ll line up this week.”
