Connor Watson and Kalyn Ponga are on track to return to full training before the Christmas break.
Ponga is on the mend from an ankle injury, while Watson had surgery to repair his groin.
Head of Physical Performance, Balin Cupples said the duo are not far off joining the main group.
Injury Report: The latest on Ponga, Watson and Jacob Saifiti
"Kalyn and Connor are going really well," Cupples told newcastleknights.com.au.
"Over the last week, they've been progressing their field running.
"Next week, they'll build into consecutive days of work, which is the next step in their return protocol.
"The following week – contact protocols, more integration with the group and then from the start of December, we should see both of those guys back with the main group."
Meanwhile, Jacob Saifiti is set to resume a full training load next week.
Saifiti missed half the season with a shoulder injury he suffered in May.
Bill Peden: My First Contract
"Jake's had a pretty high level of integration over the past two weeks," Cupples said.
"He's done plenty of work with the gym guys and rehab crew to build his shoulder stability back up.
"From Monday, based on how well he's gone this week, he'll be pretty much back in full training mode."
