nib Newcastle Knights coach Nathan Brown has trimmed his Round 20 NRL team ahead of Friday's match against North Queensland at 1300SMILES Stadium.
Connor Watson has been ruled out with a groin issue.
While he has battled an ankle complaint, it's a groin injury which has seen the No.6 fail to make the game.
He has been replaced by Jack Cogger in the halves.
Cory Denniss has also dropped off the bench.
Brown will confirm his final 17 one hour before kick-off.
