Nathan Brown has trimmed his team ahead of Saturday's NRL match against Canterbury-Bankstown at McDonald Jones Stadium.

Pasami Saulo and Nick Meaney have dropped off the bench.

That means both Nathan Ross and Jamie Buhrer are still in the mix to return from injury for the nib Newcastle Knights.

Ross has been sidelined with a groin injury, while Buhrer had surgery on his knee just a few weeks ago.

Brown will confirm his team an hour before kick-off on Saturday afternoon.
