ISP Knights reward 20s duo with chance to showcase their talents

Scribble the name Tex Hoy down in your little black book.

He'll be wearing the No.6 in Saturday's Intrust Super Premiership NSW clash with the Bulldogs at McDonald Jones Stadium.

The 20-year-old partners Brock Lamb in the halves for what will be his debut match in the competition.

A standout for Newcastle in the Jersey Flegg, Rory Kostjasyn has rewarded the playmaker with a chance to test himself out against more seasoned opposition.

"Tex has been playing well for our under 20s," Kostjasyn said.

"They're travelling along nicely.

"We thought he'd earned an opportunity at the open age level.

"He's very quick, moves very good with the footy. Any kind of broken play or any chance he gets to support off an offload, he's dangerous in space.

"Hopefully we'll see him in some space."

Fellow Jersey Flegg player Tevita Alifa will also debut.

The forward has been named on the bench with Kostjasyn confirming his place in the ISP side this weekend.

The 101 kilo Sydney product joined the Knights this year having featured in Melbourne's NYC side last season.

"Tevita will come off the bench and play in the middle," Kostjasyn said.

"He's a strong carrier of the ball and he's been playing well in the 20s."
