Geoffrey is undoubtedly one of the nib Newcastle Knights’ biggest supporters, and on Wednesday he was given an early Christmas present that almost left him speechless.
The Knights surprised the red and blue fanatic by transforming his mobility scooter into the ultimate Knights mobile, which was delivered to his house by coach Nathan Brown.
Decked out in red and blue with the Knights logo, Geoffrey’s scooter was a sight to behold.
“I cannot honestly put it into words,” Geoffrey told Knights TV.
“I can’t thank everyone enough for making this happen.”
After approaching The Wests Group to buy a flag for his scooter because his old one had been ripped, Wests decided to go one better and gave Geoffrey his dream ride.
Without a driver’s licence and an injury to his back many years ago, Geoffrey’s scooter is his only form of transport.
