Footy action returns to McDonald Jones Stadium after six weeks as the nib Newcastle Knights take on the Wests Tigers.

Match Day Sponsor

For the fifth year, the Knights partner with NSW Mining to celebrate the mining industry’s contribution to the Hunter region.

The team will proudly don the hi-vis jersey at the annual Voice for Mining Family Day and the event will raise money for the region’s Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.

This year the NSW Minerals Council will also sponsor a ‘High Ball Challenge’ at half time to raise money for the helicopter service and for every ball caught, $100 will be donated.

Allan McMahon Shield

The Knights and Wests Tigers will play for the Allan McMahon Shield, which is currently held by the Knights. McMahon played 89 games for the Tigers and was the Knights’ first coach.

The clubs have played for the shield since 2003.

Membership Service Office

The Membership Service Office (located outside of the stadium, on the western side and to the left of the main entry doors) will be open from 11.15am until the end of half time of the NRL match.

Membership Marquee

The Membership marquee will be set up outside of the western entrance for all fans wanting to discuss or purchase Memberships.

The Membership team have three, four, and six game packages that can save you on match day ticket prices. It’s not too late to join and help us celebrate our 30th season in the NRL.

Club Shop

The Knights Club Shop will be open from 9am until the NRL match kicks off. Remember to purchase all of your favourite Knights merchandise direct from the official Club Shop, where 100 per cent of profits stay with the Club.

Members receive a 10 per cent off your purchase simply by showing your 2017 Members card.

New in 2017

2017 Knights Members receive a 10 per cent discount off food and beverages at McDonald Jones Stadium, simply by showing their Member card at the time of purchase.

Members are invited to visit the Member Bar in the eastern grandstand and enter via the Member Entrance at the western gates.

Stadium conditions of entry

A reminder that Fans and Members may bring in only sealed bottles of water to McDonald Jones Stadium. Empty, refillable water bottles are also welcome.

Any Member or supporter attempting to enter McDonald Jones Stadium with an unsealed water bottle will be asked by security to empty the container before entering through the gates.

Parking is available on a match-by-match basis through Ticketmaster.  

Getting to McDonald Jones Stadium

The nearest train station to McDonald Jones Stadium is Broadmeadow Station, approximately 1.5km away. For a full list of stations and timetables visit Transport NSW.  

The nearest bus stop is at Young and Turton Road, New Lambton. The following buses stop within 1km of the stadium:

- Down Turton Road: 231 and 111
- Down Lambton Road: 363, 230, 222 and 317
