Newcastle Knights enforcer Beau Scott has extended his stay at the Club until the end of season 2017.
Scott joined the Knights in 2013 and has since played 32 games for the Club. This year he captained Country Origin in its draw with City before playing for NSW in its historic State of Origin series win.
“Newcastle is a great Club with plenty of passion. I want to be part of that going forward,” Scott said.
“We have some very, very good youngsters coming through and I look forward to working with them in the years ahead.
“While this year has been disappointing from a results point of view, I am confident some good times are just around the corner.”
The Club is pleased to secure the NSW Origin forward long-term.
“Beau has been an outstanding addition to our Club and this extension caps off a highly successful season for him personally as well,” CEO Matt Gidley said.
“Beau is an integral member of our Club and will play an influential role in developing the culture and progression of our young local talent.”
