With both sides desperate to bounce back from defeat, Newcastle Knight Korbin Sims anticipates a tough contest against the Wests Tigers on Saturday at Campbelltown Stadium.
"We just have to move onto this weekend. We are trying to put last weekend behind us so we can get back into a winning mind frame,” he said on Wednesday.
“They have had their struggles at the moment and we are going through ours.
"They have classy players and we have classy players as well but both sides are in a bit of a slump at the moment."
Sims assures the belief in the Knights' ability to succeed is still strong among the team.
“I love hanging around the boys and everyone loves hanging around each other. You have to turn up and can’t dwell on the past,” he added.
“We’ve done our video sessions and done our analysis from last weekend, so now we have to move on to the Wests Tigers.”
Preparation at Knights HQ was turned up a notch with the side eager to right the wrongs of Sunday’s disappointing result.
“If we can prepare really well this week and get a win, we can regenerate ourselves into a winning format,” he said.
“We’ve had the start of the week to get over that and have training today.
“We really have to put that behind us and look forward instead of dwelling on the past."
